According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Luka Modric is hoping that Inter Milan come back in for him with a renewed offer because of how unhappy he is at Real Madrid. It’s no secret that the Croat was heavily invested in the idea of making the jump over to the San Siro, but due to a multitude of reasons, the move never went through during the summer transfer window.
Real’s valuation of the midfielder put Inter off above anything else, but now, it seems like Real themselves aren’t even valuing him all too highly.
Modric is said to be frustrated with life under Julen Lopetegui, and despite the fact he may leave the club soon, that still isn’t likely to change Luka’s tune.
Florentino Perez also still hasn’t offered him a new contract which undoubtedly will cause some tension, especially given how tremendous Modric has been over the course of the last twelve months.
