Modric set for Real Madrid meeting

According to a recent report from AS, Luka Modric will meet with Florentino Perez over a possible contract extension with Real Madrid.

At the age of 37, Luka Modric has been aging like a fine wine. The Croatian superstar is one of the finest midfielders of his generation and Real Madrid are eager to keep him around. As per the report, Real want to put forward a new deal in the midst of claims that there is interest in him coming from Saudi Arabia.

Some wonder whether or not Modric would want to take on such a deal, but you’d have to imagine they’d be paying him very generously.

He’s the kind of player that will always strive to play at the highest level. So then, if he feels like he’s still physically able to do so, we can’t picture a reason why Saudi Arabia would be more appealing – unless he has the Ronaldo mentality.
