According to a recent report from AS, Luka Modric will reject a move from Al-Nassr after opting for a contract extension with Real Madrid.
Over the course of the last few years, Luka Modric has well and truly cemented his legacy as one of the best midfielders of his generation – and, potentially, of all time. The 37-year-old has done some magnificent things on the international stage and he’s also been able to replicate that joy during his days with Real, of which there have been many.
The report in question states that there has been interest in his services from Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr. Recently, they’ve been able to lure Cristiano Ronaldo and Vincent Aboubakar over with substantial contract offers.
Unfortunately for them, unlike Ronaldo and Aboubakar, Modric won’t be bought off by the nation. The game of morality in professional football is a strange one but at the very least, he won’t follow in the footsteps of his former Real teammate CR7.
