Modric sets out future plans

According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Luka Modric believes he can continue playing until he is 40 years old.

The Croatian, who turns 37 in September, has been heralded by many fans and pundits across the world for his longevity in the beautiful game. Some have said his latest deal with Real Madrid is going to be his last, but the man himself believes that he can keep going at the elite level for longer than most people think.

The veteran had arguably his finest hour back in 2014 but even with that being the case, he’s still playing at an incredibly high pace.

Nobody knows exactly what the future is going to hold for him but as long as Real are committed to keeping him on the books, and he’s still in the right physical shape, he’ll continue to be a regular feature at the Bernabeu – as many believe he should be.
