Modric wants new Real Madrid deal

According to a recent report from AS, Luka Modric is open to having talks with Real Madrid over a new contract at the club.

Modric recently made it clear that he wants to retire at the Bernabeu and while some feel as if that was nothing more than a negotiation tactic, he does seem to be genuine as he prepares to enter the final stage of his illustrious career.

Real have been through their fair share of ups and downs in recent months but Modric’s loyalty hasn’t drifted yet, and it’s showing no signs of doing so. Zinedine Zidane himself knows and understands the overwhelming value Modric is able to bring to the club and that’s been the case for years, with other top teams around Europe valuing that quality in him too.

All good things must come to an end but for the time being, Modric isn’t ready to walk away.
