(GSM) – Luciano Moggi insists new signing Jorge Martinez is not a strong reinforcement for Juventus.

The former sporting director of the club believes players of that caliber won’t deliver a Scudetto to the Bianconeri.

“The acquisitions made by the former Sampdoria director (Giuseppe Marotta) are not Scudetto players,” Moggi told SportItalia. “Martinez does not have the qualities to reinforce Juventus.

“The only one that can strengthen the side at the moment is (defender) Leonardo Bonucci.

“The side needs four players of strong quality if it wants to aim for first place, but I repeat that (goalkeeper Marco) Storari and others that have arrived are of that level.

“I hope that these choices do not make Luigi Del Neri’s job harder,” he concluded.
