Monaco and Napoli ready to pay €65m for Icardi

Mauro Icardi – will he stay or will he go? That is the question in the final days of the European transfer window, as two clubs are truly interested in signing him. According to reports from Italy, AS Monaco and Napoli are both prepared to pay €65m for the Argentine striker. However, it looks like Icardi is still refusing to leave Inter, despite his wife and agent Wanda Nara insisting otherwise.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Nara has realised the situation is counter-productive and it would not be smart for Icardi to stay at Inter without playing. The club and player’s agent are still trying to convince him to make a move, as the two abovementioned clubs are ready to pay a hefty sum for him. The reports are saying that Monaco are ready to offer him a salary of 10m per season, while Napoli are thought to be ready to go as high as 8.5m.
