Ligue 1 outfit Monaco are readying a summer bid for Torino forward Alessio Cerci, Tuttosport has learned.
The Principality club have also been looking at Bayern’s Xherdan Shaqiri as they look to sign a successor to James Rodriguez, but they seem to have decided to go with the Italy international due to his much lower wage demands.
While AC Milan, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid have attempted to recruit the forward of late, all three sides seem to have decided to pursue other targets, meaning that Monaco are in a good position at the moment.
And with the French side having no time to waste, they are expected to submit a €20 million proposal in the coming days as well as offer the player a contract worth €2.5 million per campaign, thus tripling his current wage.
Taking all this into account, there is a good chance the player who managed 13 goals and 10 assists last term will be moving to Stade Louis II in the near future.
