French media outlet L’Equipe claims that Monaco are hot on the trail of Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure.
The Principality club are believed to have offered €12 million for the 23-year-old footballer and they are awaiting response from the Premier League side.
Doucoure was sold to Watford last summer, but he was then immediately loaned to Granada, going on to make 15 La Liga appearances.
The midfielder has since returned to Vicarage Road and is not too keen on going back to France, but rather hopes to prove his worth in English Premier League.
Doucoure had come through Rennes’ famous youth academy and went on to score 12 goals in 75 Ligue 1 outings for les Bertons before joining Watford.
The former France Under-21 international has amassed over 30 appearances for the country’s youth sides, but he has yet to receive a call-up to the senior Les Bleus squad.
