Ligue 1 champions Monaco are believed to be wrapping up the deal for Benfica hotshot Pizzi, according to A Bola.
The Principality club are in the market for midfield reinforcements seeing that at least one of Tiemoue Bakayoko and Fabinho will leave for greener pastures.
And it appears they have all but reached an agreement with Benfica to sign Portuguese midfielder Pizzi, who has enjoyed a tremendous season with the Eagles.
The 27-year-old managed 10 goals and 8 assists in 33 Primeira Liga starts, helping the club lift their fourth successive Primeira Liga trophy.
Monaco chiefs have already spoken with Benfica chairman Luis Filipe Vieira, and they are expected to pay top dollar for the player who has a €45 million release clause in his contract.
Pizzi also enjoyed spells with Atletico Madrid and Deportivo La Coruna in Spain, while earning 6 caps for the Portugal national team.
