French giants Monaco are keeping close tabs on Saint Etienne hotshot Joshua Guilavogui as they continue the search for a new holding midfielder, reports L’Equipe.
Signing another central midfielder to play alongside Jeremy Toulalan is a priority at the moment, with Sevilla’s Geoffrey Kondogbia the number one name on the hit-list.
However, with los Rojiblancos referring the French club to the player’s release clause, Monaco seem to have turned their attention to Joshua Guilavogui.
According to L’Equipe, the Principality Club have already contacted Saint Etienne with a view of signing the 22-year-old midfielder this summer.
Joshua Guilavogui has come through the youth ranks at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard, and has already made no less than 95 Ligue 1 appearances for les Verts.
He has featured in all 38 league games last term, starting 27 of those and scoring 3 goals, while also netting three times in 9 matches for France Under-21 side.
