Monaco are weighing up a January bid for Paris Saint-Germain winger Jeremy Menez, reports Radio Monte Carlo.
It is no secret the 26-year-old is looking to leave Parc des Princes in January in search of first team football having featured in just two Ligue 1 matches this season.
During the past few weeks, the France international has been linked with a return to Italian Serie A, but Radio Monte Carlo claims Monaco are prepared to offer the player an escape route from PSG.
According to the same source, Monaco boss Claudio Ranieri has already spoken with Menez on the phone to find out if he would be interested in a switch to the Principality.
The winger had previously spent two seasons at Stade Louis II after joining from Sochaux, and scored no less than 14 goals in 57 league matches.
The potential arrival of Menez would seriously boost Monaco’s title bid, with the Principality club currently 10/3 to lift the Ligue 1 trophy.
