French Ligue 1 side Monaco are considering a summer move for Atletico Madrid defender Lucas Hernandez, according to L’Equipe.
The Principality club officials have been largely impressed with the 20-year-old’s performances this season and they already attempted to recruit him last winter.
And despite having an €18 million bid rejected for his services, Monaco are not giving up on the French footballer.
Lucas Hernandez has been at Vicente Calderon for nine years, but he enjoyed a meteoric rise during the current season.
With the likes of Diego Godin, Jose Maria Gimenez and Stefan Savic all struggling through injury of late, the talented centre-back has played some important games over the last couple of months and he quickly proved he deserves to be playing at the highest level.
Lucas Hernandez helped Atletico Madrid eliminate Barcelona to reach the Champions League semis, and they are now 13/8 to qualify for the final.
