French giants Monaco are considering a summer bid for Atletico Madrid striker Mario Mandzukic, according to Le Parisien.
The Principality club are short of options at centre forward, with veteran Dimitar Berbatov and youngster Anthony Martial competing for one place up front.
As a result, Monaco aim to recruit a proven goalscorer in the summer and have reportedly set their sights on Mario Mandzukic.
The Croatian hasn’t quite managed to justify a hefty price tag at Vicente Calderon and it is believed los Colchoneros are ready to listen to offers for his services.
Mandzukic enjoyed a bright start to his career in Spain, scoring a total of 20 goals, but he has now failed to score a single goal in almost three months.
Monaco are locked in the battle with Marseille for the final Champions League berth in Ligue 1, and they can be backed at 1/4 to defeat Metz on Saturday.
