Monaco have joined Manchester United and Chelsea in the race to sign Juventus’s Claudio Marchisio, according to the Express.
Premier League champions United were linked with the 27 year old during the summer, and Blues boss Jose Mourinho is also an admirer of the Italy international.
However, reports in France are suggesting that Claudio Ranieri is willing to splash out £25m for the midfielder as he prepares an dramatic overhaul of the side who currently sit in second place in Ligue 1, behind fellow big spenders Paris Saint Germain.
Ranieri worked with Marchisio during his time at Juve, though he loaned him out to Empoli for the 2007/08 campaign.
The Turin born star, who has been at the Old Lady since he was a child, has scored 28 goals in 213 appearances for the club, and is available at 13/5 to open his account for the season against Genoa on Sunday.
