Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf is reporting that Monaco are hot on the trail of Ajax hotshot Kasper Dolberg.
It is no secret that the Ligue 1 champions are in the market to sign a successor to Kylian Mbappe and they see the Dane as an obvious choice.
According to reports, Monaco showed their intent by offering €50 million for the Denmark international, but their bid was swiftly rejected.
Having just sold defender Davinson Sanchez for £42 million, Ajax are in no pressure to sell their other key men, so it looks as though Dolberg will be staying at Amsterdam Arena for the foreseeable future.
Dolberg had enjoyed an excellent debut campaign last term, bagging 23 goals in 48 competitive appearances.
