French giants Monaco are in talks with Malaga over the signing of Spanish midfielder Ignacio Camacho, AS can reveal.
The Principality club have identified the 26-year-old as one of their primary targets and they have already established initial contacts.
Monaco hope to complete the deal before the transfer window closes on Wednesday, but it remains to be seen whether they can find an agreement with Malaga.
Ignacio Camacho is the product of Atletico Madrid youth academy, and he moved to Balaidos in January 2011 after making just 30 league appearances for los Colchoneros.
The central midfielder quickly developed into an important footballer for los Boquerones and went on to feature in 143 La Liga games in Malaga shirt.
Camacho, who was handed his Spain debut in November 2014, has been linked with quite a few top clubs of late, including Liverpool, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur.
