Inter Milan are looking to make a major rebuild now they have Antonio Conte as their head coach and they are eager to push Juventus in a real title race that was missing in Serie A last season. For that to happen, they will also need to offload some players and raise money in order to sign their preferred targets. One of those players could be Joao Mario.
Former West Ham United loanee is in talks with AS Monaco, over a potential move to the Ligue 1 side. FCInter1908 report that Nerazzurri have set the asking price for Joao Mario at €25m, but that could be a problem for Leonardo Jardim’s side.
Monaco did sell Youri Tielemans to Leicester City for a reported fee of €40m, but they still feel €25m is too much for the Portuguese midfielder. Monaco would want to negotiate a lower price for the player in order to make this deal happen. Joao Mario has made 69 total appearances for Inter, as well as 14 in the Premier League for West Ham.
