French giants Monaco are hot on the trail of Lille midfielder Adama Traore, French daily newspaper L’Equipe understands.
The Principality club have been quite busy in the summer transfer window, selling Geoffrey Kondogbia and Nicolas Isimat-Mirin, while signing Thomas Lemar, Fabinho, Fares Bahlouli, Correntin Jean, Guido Carrillo and Mario Pasalic.
But, the summer recruitment is not over yet as Monaco are very interested in Lille starlet Adama Traore.
L’Equipe has learned that the Principality club already had a bid rejected for the 20-year-old footballer, but they might return with an improved proposal.
Adama Traore joined Lille last summer from AS Bakaridjan and went on to score two goals in 20 league outings.
The talented footballer was in stunning form at the Under-20 World Cup in New Zealand, bagging 4 goals in 7 appearances for Mali and was voted Player of the Tournament after helping the African side achieve a third-place finish.
