Ligue 1 champions Monaco are set to make a move on Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan, according to El Mundo Deportivo.
The Turkish footballer has been deemed surplus to requirements at Camp Nou, but there has been little interest in his services.
And while former club Galatasaray hope to sign him on loan, Barcelona would prefer an outright transfer.
This is why the Catalans were happy to hear of Monaco’s interest in the player, especially given that the French giants have money to spend after selling a number of key men.
The Principality club could really use a player of Arda Turan’s stature after staying without Bakayoko, Mendy and Bernardo Silva, with Mbappe and Lemar also expected to leave.
Arda Turan has failed to impress at Camp Nou, having managed 15 goals and 11 assists in 55 competitive appearances for the club.
