French giants Monaco are keeping close tabs on Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli, according to Tuttosport.
The Italian forward has made it clear that he doesn’t plan to return to Anfield, despite the fact that he has another two years left on his contract with the Reds.
Balotelli would prefer to remain at AC Milan beyond the current season, but it remains to be seen whether the Rossoneri can reach an agreement with Liverpool.
The latest reports suggest that Monaco are closely monitoring the situation as they are ready to launch an assault on the Italy international in the summer transfer window.
Mario Balotelli, 25, has only managed one goal in 17 Serie A appearances this season, but he has raised his form of late, performing well in matches against Juventus and Sampdoria.
The controversial forward hopes to play himself back into the first team plans of Italy coach Antonio Conte ahead of the Euro 2016 finals.
