Portuguese daily newspaper O Jogo understands that Monaco are hot on the trail of Benfica forward Talisca.
The Principality club have money to spend after selling a number of key men last summer and with Thomas Lemar widely tipped to leave at the end of the season, they are in the market for a new playmaker.
According to O Jogo, Monaco are seriously thinking about recruiting Benfica’s Talisca and they’ve got super agent Jorge Mendes working on the deal.
The Eagles are ready to cash in on the Brazilian after he managed to impress during the loan stint with Besiktas, but they don’t seem prepared to consider offers lower than the €45 million release clause.
Benfica chairman Luis Felipe Vieira reportedly rejected a proposal of €30m plus €10m in bonuses from Changchun Yatai in January, knowing that top European clubs are interested in his services.
Talisca, 24, has managed impressive 31 goals and 9 assists in 66 competitive appearances for Besiktas.
