Monaco are reportedly considering a move on Inter Milan playmaker Ricky Alvarez, reports Tuttosport.
The Principality club are desperate to sign a creative midfielder after cashing in on James Rodriguez and they seem to have turned their attention to the Argentine footballer.
Inter Milan wouldn’t mind cashing in on the 26-year-old, although it remains to be seen whether their €15 million asking price would prove an obstacle to the deal.
Ricky Alvarez joined the Nerazzurri as a high-profile signing from Velez Sarsfield three years back, but he never quite managed to live up to the billing at Stade Giuseppe Meazza.
The Argentina international has so far amassed 73 Serie A appearances and scored 11 goals, but he does not appear to be in the first team plans of Inter boss Walter Mazzarri.
The Nerazzurri kick off their league campaign in two weeks’ time as they face Torino on the road, with away win paying 5/4.
