French giants Monaco are set to launch a fresh assault on Benfica star Nemanja Matic, according to Portuguese daily Record.
The Serbian midfielder is set to become one of the hottest commodities in the summer transfer market, with Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho reportedly keen on luring him back to Stamford Bridge.
Meanwhile, Monaco are set to reignite their interest in the player as they hope to continue the summer recruitment.
The Principality Club have already signed the likes of Radamel Falcao, Joao Moutinho, James Rodriguez and Ricardo Carvalho, but they plan to make Matic their next high-profile signing.
And while other interested clubs have been put off by the €50 million release clause, Monaco officials are seriously thinking about meeting the asking price.
Nemanja Matic, 24, has developed into a key player at Estadio da Luz shortly after arriving from Chelsea, and has made no less than 46 competitive appearances this season.
