Ligue 1 outfit Monaco are reportedly considering a mega money bid for Wolfsburg midfielder Luiz Gustavo, Bild has revealed.
The 26-year-old has largely impressed playing for Brazil at the 2014 World Cup, with Europe’s top clubs taking notice.
And while Barcelona do not seem ready to bid for their long-term target, French giants Monaco have emerged as favourites for his signature.
Namely, the free-spending club are ready to make their interest concrete and they could even match the player’s €35 million release clause.
Luiz Gustavo left Bayern Munich for Wolfsburg last summer in search of first team football and that proved to be a very good decision as the midfielder kept his place in the national team.
After scoring 4 goals in 29 league matches for the Wolves, Gustavo played full 90 minutes in five games at the tournament finals, with the Seleccao now 23/20 to win the third-place play-off against Netherlands.
