French daily newspaper L’Equipe has learned that Monaco are on the verge of completing a deal for Troyes forward Corentin Jean.
The same source has suggested that the two clubs reached an agreement over a transfer fee, believed to be just short of €4 million.
Jean is, therefore, expected to put pen to paper on a four-year deal in the coming days, before he is loaned back to Troyes ahead of the new season.
After helping his club gain promotion to the elite division, he will have an opportunity to enjoy a top flight campaign with Troyes before he returns to Stade Louis II.
The 19-year-old has already amassed 65 league appearances, with the 2014/2015 season the most successful up to date.
Jean was in fine form throughout the league campaign, scoring 10 goals in 28 matches to help Troyes secure a Ligue 2 trophy with seven points to spare.
