Sky Sport Italia is reporting that Monaco could offer former Fiorentina goalkeeper Sebastian Frey a chance to return to French Ligue 1.
The Principality club are searching for a new shot-stopper as they are having doubts over signing Victor Valdes from Barcelona.
And Sky Sport Italia understands that are pondering a summer move for Bursaspor keeper Sebastian Frey.
Monaco officials believe the 34-year-old still has what it takes to play at the highest level and they hope to sign him on a cut-price deal.
After spending 13 years in Italian Serie A, Frey left Genoa for Bursaspor last summer, but he is reportedly hoping to leave Turkey having failed to adapt to the new surroundings.
The Frenchman, who featured in 24 games for Cannes in France’s top flight before moving to Italy, could get a chance to return to his native country.
At the same time, Monaco are keeping close tabs on Genoa starlet Mattia Perin, who has been named in Cesare Prandelli’s World Cup squad.
