French daily newspaper L’ Equipe has learned that AS Monaco are set to complete the signing of French goalkeeper Paul Nardi from Nancy.
The French giants have been negotiating a transfer fee with the Ligue 2 side for several weeks now and they seem to have finally reached an agreement.
According to L’Equipe, Nancy have accepted a €2.5 million offer, meaning the deal should be wrapped up in the coming days.
The same source has suggested that the talented shot-stopper will be allowed to remain with les Chardons on a season-long loan.
Paul Nardi has come through the youth ranks at Stade Marcel Picot and has this year established himself as a first team regular, starting 33 Ligue 2 games as his side narrowly missed out on a promotion to the elite division.
The highly rated goalkeeper is member of France Under-20 side and is predicted a bright future in the game.
