French giants Monaco are stepping up their efforts to sign Argentine winger Eduardo Salvio from Benfica, O Jogo can reveal.
The Principality club are determined to bring the Argentina international to Stade Louis II in the summer transfer window and they have now made their interest concrete.
Namely, Monaco have informed Benfica chairman Luis Filipe Vieira through agent Jorge Mendes that they are ready to offer €20 million plus another €5 million in bonuses.
The Eagles had hoped to receive more for their prized asset, but with the winger missing a large chunk of last season through injury, they may be forced to seriously consider said proposal, especially given that the Ligue 1 outfit appear to be the only top club ready to submit an official offer.
Eduardo Salvio, 26, has made a total of 162 competitive appearances for Benfica, scoring 38 goals and setting up another 33 for his teammates.
