French Ligue 1 side Monaco have decided to turn Stephan El Sharaawy’s loan move into permanent deal, according to Tuttosport.
The Italy international was one of many quality players to arrive at Stade Louis II this summer, initially joining on loan with an option to buy.
And despite not exactly establishing himself as an undisputed starter under Leonardo Jardim, El Shaarawy appears to have done enough to earn a permanent switch to the Principality.
Namely, Tuttosport has learned that Monaco will soon trigger the €17 million buy out clause in the forward’s contract.
Stephan El Shaarawy joined AC Milan from Genoa in the summer of 2011, and he has since shown a great deal of potential.
However, with numerous injuries hindering his progress, the 22-year-old was farmed out on loan to Monaco earlier this summer and everything suggests he will not be returning to Stadio San Siro any time soon.
