Portuguese daily newspaper A Bola has learned that Monaco are hot on the trail of Sporting Braga midfielder Rafa Silva.
The Principality club recruited a host of young and talented footballers last summer, and the trend clearly looks set to continue.
Namely, A Bola has learned that Monaco scouts watched Rafa Silva in weekend’s clash against Vitorial Guimaraes, which is enough to suggest a summer move to Stade Louis II could be on the cards.
Nevertheless, the Principality club face stiff competition for the player’s signature considering that Manchester United, Everton and FC Porto are believed to be keen as well.
The Dragons even had a bid rejected for the 22-year-old in the January window, as they made a late offer for his services.
Rafa Silva is widely regarded as one of the hottest prospects in Portugal and chances are he will be leaving Sporting Braga for greener pastures in the summer.
