Ligue 1 champions Monaco have secured a deal for Barcelona youngster Jordi Mboula, L’Equipe has revealed.
The Principality Club reportedly matched the player’s €3 million release clause, leaving the Catalans powerless to prevent one of their hottest prospects from leaving Camp Nou.
We revealed back in April that Monaco had emerged as frontrunners for Mboula’s signature, and the French champions did well to eventually complete the deal.
This can be seen as yet another coup for the Stade Louis II outfit, who are determined to remain near the top of French and European football despite being forced to cash in on several key men.
As far as Jordi Mboula is concerned, the right winger has shown a great deal of potential playing for Barcelona youth sides, and he now gets a chance to make the next step in his career.
