German daily newspaper Bild has learned that FK Grbalj goalkeeper Lazar Carevic has undergone a trial with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.
While first team players had a session in the gym, the 16-year-old trained with Tom Starke and goalkeeping coach Toni Tapalovic, with the Bavarians boss Pep Guardiola deciding to have a closer look at one of Montenegro’s hottest prospects.
Carevic was recommended to the Spanish coach by his close friend Damir Radoncic, an ex handball player who is one of the youngster’s representatives.
According to Bild, the talented shot-stopper has also undergone trials with Barcelona and Ajax Amsterdam, while he will spend few more days with the Bavarians on a training camp in Ingolstadt.
Despite his fragile age, Carevic already has 17 top flight appearances to his name, while he is now a member of Montenegro’s Under-21 side.
The youngster is predicted a bright future in the game and it shouldn’t be long before he leaves FK Grbalj for a top European club.
