Riccardo Montolivo says he is happy to remain at Fiorentina despite asking more time to think before signing a new five-year deal.
Club’s sporting director Pantaleo Corvino recently said the player was hoping to get an extra 100,000 euros per season, but Montolivo denies the allegations.
“My contract is not a problem. Corvino’s reference to €100,000 was only a joke. I am happy at Florence. I repeat, there isn’t a problem and anyway I don’t intend to speak about it now. I will do so after tonight’s game.
“Right now I want to concentrate on the Faroe Islands. I expect a great enthusiasm from the fans and for Prandelli. As for me, playing for Italy in Florence will be beautiful and emotional.”
