Ligue 1 side Montpellier have revealed they have rejected several offers from Newcastle for star midfielder Remy Cabella.
The France international will be allowed to leave in case of a good enough proposal and it is no secret the Magpies would love to see him at St James Park.
Newcastle have already submitted several official offers for the highly rated midfielder, but Montpellier claim this is well short of the asking price.
“Over the last ten days, we have received two or three offers, including the one of €8 million that does not match our expectations,” Montpellier chief Laurent Nicollin was quoted as saying in L’Equipe.
The club official then moved to suggest that it would take around €15 million to lure Cabella away from Stade de la Mosson.
Remy Cabella, 24, came through the youth ranks at Montpellier, and went on to score 24 goals in 97 Ligue 1 outings for la Paillade.
He was especially impressive last season, having managed no less than 14 goals and 5 assists in 37 league matches.
