Morata: Conte lost control at Chelsea

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Alvaro Morata has commented on Antonio Conte’s reign at Chelsea. Conte was able to lead the Blues to some good times during his time at Stamford Bridge, but he left on a sour note and it appears as if Morata agrees with that assessment.

“Antonio is a person who likes to have a certain control in the club and maybe at Chelsea it wasn’t like that. And when you start having problems at the top, then it’s inevitable that they end affecting even at the lower levels”.

A lot of Chelsea fans would tend to agree with Alvaro, who had a pretty rotten time with Chelsea last season. Now, though, he looks like an entirely different player, to the point where many fans believe that he’s got his mojo back.

Conte reportedly turned down the chance to return to management with Real Madrid, and is said to be on the hunt for a new position.
