The Express understands that Alvaro Morata has suggested that Chelsea make a move for Everton forward Sandro Ramirez.
The Spain U21 international only moved to Goodison Park in the summer and hasn’t exactly impressed so far, failing to score in any of his eleven appearances so far.
He hasn’t even been named on the substitutes bench for any of the three matches overseen by David Unsworth who has been in caretaker charge of the Toffees since Ronald Koeman was dismissed last month.
However, Morata has said that the former Barcelona man would be the perfect understudy to him at Stamford Bridge.
Blues boss Antonio Conte had been in the hunt to sign fellow Spaniard Fernando Llorente in the summer though lost out to Tottenham Hotspur, leaving Michy Batshuyai as his only alternative to record signing Morata.
Chelsea beat Manchester United 1-0 on Sunday afternoon but remain nine points behind Manchester City, who beat Arsenal 3-1.
