Morata willing to take pay cut for Atletico

According to a recent report from Marca, Alvaro Morata is said to be willing to take a pay cut in order to leave Chelsea and join Atletico Madrid. The 26 year old has really struggled to find any consistency at Stamford Bridge since making his move over in 2017, when he joined from Spanish giants Real Madrid. Alas, while he may have had a solid yet short run at the Bernabeu, he first made a name for himself on the other side of the city.

Morata’s journey in professional football began during his youth days with Atletico between the years of 2005 and 2007, before he made the move to Getafe and eventually Real. A spell with Juventus soon followed before he was brought back into the fold, and now, after not really catching fire in English football like many had hoped, he’s set to return to surroundings that he’s much more comfortable with.
