Inter president Massimo Moratti has revealed that the Neroazzurri could make a bid for Napoli star Ezequiel Lavezzi.
The Italian giants are set to sign Rodrigo Palacio from Genoa, as the Argentine is currently undergoing a medical at Giuseppe Meazza ahead of his move to Inter and Moratti admits he is delighted with the latest capture.
“Palacio is someone who will do well for our cause, he is the kind of player that we needed,” Moratti told Sky Sport Italia.
The Argentine will be brought to replace Diego Forlan, who looks set to leave the club after spending just one season at Meazza.
The Neroazzurri switched their attention to Palacio after they failed to sign Ezequiel Lavezzi from Napoli, but Massimo Moratti explains that El Pocho could still arrive to Inter.
“I’ve read the reports and it seems a very interesting offer,” Moratti said referring to reports that PSG have made a €26 million bid for Lavezzi.
“Will we match it? That depends…”
The Argentine forward has a €31 million release clause inserted in his contract and is widely tipped to leave San Paolo this summer.
