(GSM) – Internazionale owner Massimo Moratti has ruled out making a move for Tottenham Hotspur’s Gareth Bale, insisting he will not ‘go crazy’ with a bid to land the Wales’ winger.
Moratti admits that he likes Bale after the latter produced some mesmerizing displays to help Spurs to a 3-1 victory over European champions Inter at White Hart Lane on Wednesday night.
But with Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp saying that Bale is not for sale even at £25-30million, Moratti has denied that he is about to launch a big-money bid for the 21-year-old.
“Bale? For sure he did well both in Milan and in London, but I already knew him,” Moratti told gazzetta.it.
“Yes, he did some great things, but we will not go crazy to sign him.”
Meanwhile Moratti expressed his disappointment at Inter’s performance and approach in their loss to Spurs.
“What happened? I would like to know myself. There was a lack of play and character. We went wrong on our approach,” he said.
“There’s no need to react severely, but we have to understand what has happened because we cannot play like this if we want to reach targets.”
