Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti on Tuesday ruled out the sale of out-of-favour striker Mario Balotelli.
“Balotelli is not and will not be for sale. That’s how it is,” said Moratti.
There has been media speculation about a January move for Balotelli who is reported to have a strained relationship with coach Jose Mourinho.
And La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Arsenal were interested in signing the 19-year-old.
Balotelli was in the stands for Sunday’s 1-0 win against Fiorentina after arriving late at training.
“After a match played so well with the three strikers (Quaresma, Milito and Eto’o) who were on the pitch, I don’t think that you’ll see Balotelli during the next match,” said Mourinho.
“He has to adapt his behaviour to the coach and team,” Moratti said. “But that’s because of his age. There is nothing serious. He has to get used to living with his teammates and coach according to the rules.”
