Vasco da Gama continue to struggle in the Brazilian Serie A. The side, traditionally one of the top clubs in the country, crashed to a 4-1 defeat by Atletico Belo Horizonte on Thursday.

Castillo put Belo Horizonte in the lead after eleven minutes and Renan Oliveira doubled the gap just after the half hour mark.

The two remaining home goals were scored by Leandro Almeida, both from the penalty spot. Only Madson could do something back for Vasco in the 69th minute.

After 35 games, Vasco find themselves in a very disappointing 17th place and in the very worst case, they might end the week in the penultimate position.
