The Sun is reporting that Arsenal are weighing up a summer move for Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.
Arsene Wenger reportedly sees the Frenchman as a perfect long-term replacement for Mikel Arteta and he will attempt to lure him to the Emirates in the summer.
The Gunners boss should have a sizeable transfer kitty for next summer and he is expected to use a portion of his budget to complete the signing of Schneiderlin.
Morgan Schneiderlin joined the Saints from Strasbourg back in 2008, and he has since made 195 league appearances for the club.
The 24-year-old had a key role to play as Southampton returned to the elite division and he in turn proved he has what it takes to play at the highest level.
Schneiderlin is currently regarded as one of league’s best holding midfielders and it is highly surprising Arsenal are showing interest in his services.
