Morrison pens one-year-deal with Blades

Premier League new boys have completed the signing of form Manchester United youth player Ravel Morrison, according to Sky Sports.

The midfielder, who left Old Trafford in 2012 having made just three appearances in cup competitions has turned out for eight clubs since – most recently Ostersund in the Swedish top flight.

Now, still on twenty-six Morrison has another chance to impress in his home country having failed to reach his potential in spells with West Ham United, Birmingham City and Queens Park Rangers, though he did score six goals in a loan spell with the latter in the 2013/14 campaign – helping them to promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.

He has also played for Cardiff City, Lazio and Mexican club Altlas, while internationally he has represented England at U21 level – winning four caps and scoring twice.

Sheffield United start life back in the top flight with a trip to Bournemouth, with the away win priced at 14/5.
