Jose Mourinho’s departure from Chelsea was not the sweetest of goodbyes. Several months before he was announced boss at Inter, he told the press he wants to play against Chelsea at his new club because he wants to “kill them.” Now, the Portuguese tactician has the opportunity to get one over his former club in the transfer market.
Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o has been made available by his club and several of Europe’s top sides are chasing the Cameroonian. AC Milan, Inter Milan and Chelsea are three of those sides, if you think The Sun is a reliable source. Eto’o would cost one of these three sides £22 million in addition to a weekly salary of £110,000.
Chelsea will be desperate to bring in a replacement for Dider Drogba who has either been sold to AC Milan for £18 million (The Sun) or is close to being sold to AC Milan, but Chelsea want £30 million for him (The Daily Telegraph).
Inter have nobody to replace but with an attacking line as this as theirs, and the fact that they have missed out on Drogba, offensive reinforcements are a must for Jose Mourinho
