Mourinho eyeing Diego Costa

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly hoping to lure Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa to Stamford Bridge, Daily Express has revealed.

Despite signing Samuel Eto’o this summer, the Portuguese coach has hinted that he would be adding a new striker in January.

With Eto’o, Torres and Ba all struggling for form, Mourinho is expected to make a move on Atletico’s Diego Costa.

The Chelsea boss knows the player well from his time at Real Madrid and he has been impressed by the striker’s recent performances.

Diego Costa is widely regarded as one of world’s best forwards at the moment and he has been in amazing form this season, scoring 12 goals in as many competitive matches.

It is believed it would take at least £35 million to sign the Brazilian in January, but Chelsea, who are 11/4 for the league title, seem prepared to go the extra mile for the highly rated footballer.
