Spanish giants Real Madrid could make a move for Manchester City full-back Micah Richards, that’s according to the Daily Star.
It is being suggested that Jose Mourinho is plotting a £20 million move for the defender who will be competing for Team GB in this summer’s Olympic Games.
Richards was used for the majority of the campaign last year and started 23 matches in helping City win the English Premier League title.
However, towards the end of the season he did not start as many matches and may be willing to listen to offers from the La Liga side.
Mourinho is an apparent admirer of the 24-year-old as he tried to sign him when in charge of Chelsea but had a bid rejected.
The Portuguese boss seems to have kept tabs on Richards and is now looking to bring him to the Bernabeu to boost his defensive options.
The England international can play at full-back or in central defensive and his strength, power and speed have seen him regarded as a top quality defender.
Real won the La Liga title last season and will be a massive attraction to any player. Should Richards go, it would be one of the biggest transfer stories of the summer.
