Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has admitted that midfielder Nuri Sahin is likely to be sold in the near future.
After failing to impress at Santiago Bernabeu, the Turkish midfielder was loaned to Liverpool in the summer, with the Reds hoping to make the transfer permanent.
As things now stand, Real Madrid are willing to cash in on the 24-year-old, with los Blancos hoping to sell the player to the highest bidder.
“Sahin belongs to Real Madrid and is on loan at Liverpool,” Mourinho told France Football. “That costs us nothing because Liverpool are paying for everything.
“He is young and playing in a league that will help him grow. We want to sell him one day and he will go for a very good price. We made no mistakes.”
Nuri Sahin joined los Merengues in a €10 million move from Borussia Dortmund, after helping the Millionaires win the Bundesliga title.
The Turkey international, however, had a slow start to his career at Santiago Bernabeu, making just 4 La Liga appearances for the club.
Since joining Liverpool last August, Sahin has made 3 Premier League appearances for the Reds and scored 1 goal, while also scoring a brace in the Capitol One Cup victory over West Brom.
