Mourinho interested in Doherty

According to a recent report from Football.London, Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho is interested in trying to sign Wolves defender Matt Doherty.

The belief is that he could cost around £12 million, and at the age of 28, he still has plenty of time left at the highest level. Doherty has spent a decade at Molineux with Wolverhampton Wanderers, and while it’d be tough for a lot of fans to see him go, there would be the potential for some interesting incomings.

Jose Mourinho was able to get a firsthand look at Doherty when Spurs went toe to toe with Wolves last season, and the Portuguese boss will be well aware of how badly he needs a few new faces at the club.

The new season is coming up sooner than most fans can even comprehend, and if they don’t bring in some fresh blood soon, fans could start to get restless.
