(GSM) – Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho is keen to trim his squad by offloading some of his squad’s players.
The Madrid giants currently have 26 players in their squad after Mourinho signed six players until now in the summer.
The Portuguese tactician wants to sell some of the fringe players with Rafael van der Vaart, midfielders Lassana and Mahamadou Diarra and Fernando Gago all reportedly put up for sale.
General manager Jorge Valdano confirmed Real’s wish to sell as soon as possible but ruled out selling any Spanish players.
Valdano told Marca: “We have 26 players right now, so we need to lighten the squad and it will happen in the coming days.
“This position does not affect the Spanish players currently on our books.”
